Overview.
The Overland’s foundations are in the golden era of the outdoors. Back in that analogue heyday of the late 70’s when it was simply about playing outside on bikes and boards, camping in the woods, ragging around mountains or hangin’ at the beach. We mix this laid back vibe with our passion for the environment, designing products that are supremely versatile, meaning you guys and girls need to buy and own less stuff. Better for you. Better for the planet.
“Increasing the average number of times clothes are worn is the most direct lever to capture value and design out waste and pollution in the textiles system.”

Live & Breathe.
The Overland was created because we live and breathe the very sports we design our clothing for and are healthily preoccupied with how the future of sportswear could look. We are blessed to live in Brighton, England and ride our bikes every day to work. We skate and BMX when it's dry, surf when we can, camp and hike with our families, climb and run in between and when we go on holiday, it's normally to the mountains with a snowboard or mountain bike. We're not about following the status quo. We have spent as much of our lives in the streetwear and action sports world (as customer and industry) as we have in the adventure sports and outdoors world. This is why The Overland combines a late 70's and 80's old skool aesthetic but with technical features and attention to detail that comes from designing award winning sports clothing or over 10 years.
Deliberately Small.
In this age of big business, mergers and buyouts we like to buck the trend and remain deliberately small, focusing on what really matters: Design (Dave and Oli), Product Development (Martin) and Warehouse / Customer Service (Mike). Plus the dogs, Obi and Chewie. And that’s all of us!
Independent.
Self-funded from the start, we pride ourselves on our independence. We follow our hearts, develop the products we truly believe in, and still can’t get over the buzz when we see someone wearing The Overland. We have no aims to be a big business. Our passion is in the sports we love, the outdoors, environmental and social responsibility and challenging the norms with exciting and innovative products.
