Tom Hill is a man who loves the outdoors, and with his work for Singletrack and Grit.cx has been lucky enough to try and test tonnes of clothing. He's also a self-confessed gear-geek. It was only after an enforced wardrobe clear-out, due to yet another jacket unable to fit in, that he may have a problem.
So he took it upon himself to see how much of this clothing he actually used over the course of a year. It was surprisingly small. Along with an increased awareness of the environmental toll excessive consumerism (or consumerism in general?) takes, Tom decided to take a path forward.
On the Restrap blog, he discusses the macro and micro changes we will need to take to continue to enjoy the sports we love.
