We take this a step further and say it's fabrics that need multiple lives. The Overland is the in-house brand of Circular Inc. where we work with brands to improve their circularity through design, repair, upcycling and education. Through this we uncovered a golden resource - lots of clothing that was deemed 'waste' but actually had lots of life left in the fabrics.
The objective of The Overland is to help clothing brands make best use of their 'waste' by converting it into exciting, functional and desirable products.

People will always continue to be consumers. It is our curse. The central idea with The Overland is to provide clothing for people who would like to use their consumer power as a force for good. We constantly question the status quo, investigating resale, repair and upcycling programs as well as designing our clothing for the circular economy.
Importantly we want to encourage people to buy from circular business models which are subscription, rental, repair, resale and upcycling. Upcycling in particular has the greatest positive environmental impact with "57% of people who buy an upcycled product ultimately purchasing fewer items in the future, greater than repair, resale or subscription." WRAP Circular Business Models 2023. For our brand partners our upcycled clothing contributes to a 14% reduction in carbon and a 16% saving in water usage for the brand.
Our goal is to become Climate Neutral, achieve B Corp status and donate an ever increasing percentage of our sales to environmental and social organisations.
